The next time I will post will not be until about Monday or Tuesday.

I’m spending time with family and enjoying the remainder of my weekend.

I’m still writing so don’t worry =)

I hope all my Ava and Emma followers have a great Saturday Night <3

It seemed that Emma and I…

…were back to our normal routine.

We sorted everything out and she apologized multiple times about anything and everything for the next couple of days. The only thing that hadn’t gone back to normal was her family. They were all acting strange and they talked less. Even Natalie wasn’t her normal bubbly self. Lily spent more time in her room, and Emma tried desperately to make every one talk to each other with little progress.

“So when do I get to meet this girlfriend of yours?” My friend, Melissa Martin, asked  me while we waited patiently for our waitress to bring us our refills. Melissa and I had been best friends since junior high. It didn’t take us long to realize that we were both gay, and from there our friendship blossomed. No, we never liked each other; something I was quite grateful for.

“I don’t know. Will you be good?” I joked.

She shook her head; “Probably not, but I’m one of the coolest people you know and its only right that I meet her.”

We both laughed and the waitress sat our drinks on the table.

“Thank you,” Melissa said, giving the girl a wink.

“You’re welcome,” she said, not noticing the wink, then proceeded on to her next table. Melissa continued to watch her.

“What are you doing?” I asked, noting her sudden interest in the girl.

She pointed her finger at herself; “Me?”

“Yes, you.”

“Nothing,” she said guiltly, while sipping at her drink.

“You were checking out our waitress,” I said.

She shook her head; “I was not,” she started; “I can’t believe you would falsly accuse me of staring at that girls but, as well as her wonderfully proportioned face and really nice body.”

“I didn’t accuse you of any of that,” I laughed.

She stopped staring; “Good, because it wouldn’t have been a false accusation.”

She laughed at her own humor and continued to eye the girl down.

“You don’t even know if she’s gay,” I said pointedly.

Melissa looked back at me; “I don’t have to. If she’s gay I’ve made a great first impression. If she isn’t, I still made a great first impression.”

“So, you won’t be disappointed when you find out she’s not gay,” I asked disbelieving her thought process.

She shook her head; “I won’t be disappointed.”

“How is that possible?”

“Because gay or not, I’m still gonna ask her out,” she smiled.

I laughed at her; “You’re horrible.”

“I do my best,” she bowed her head.

Melissa was never a serious person. I didn’t have many in depth talks with her in fear that they would most likely bore her. She was spontaneous, and loved random acts of adventure, but never anything serious.

“You wait and see,” she pointed over to our waitress; “I’ll ask her out without ever knowing if she’s gay or not.”

And I fully believed she would. That was another big difference between Melissa and I. She believed that she could have anyone, no matter what their orientation. She had the confidence that I lacked most of the time. She knew what she wanted and would do anything she could to get what she wanted.

“So you never did answer me,” Melissa had finally looked away from the girl.

“What was the question?”

“When do I get to meet the infamous Emma?”

I shrugged; “Tomorrow if you’re available.”

I got off work early, but I still don’t have a chapter ready lol

I hope everybody has a great Friday <3

Ava’s mom was funny…

while she had  the sex talk with Ava and I. To be honest I hadn’t thought much about sex with Ava until her mother brought the topic forth. The only time I thought about it was when Ava had touched my stomach while we were kissing, but even then it was a simple touch, not full blown sex. Now I had another thought to join the mess in my head.

After Mrs. Richlou went to sleep Ava got the inflatable bed and we headed to her room, leaving the door opened as directed. While she set everything up I called my dad and let him know what I was doing. He seemed relieved that I was staying and proceeded to tell me that Natalie was at a friends house as well.  Must have something to do with Lily and her outburst this afternoon.

“Here,” Ava handed me a pair of clothes to change into.

I smiled, when I took them from her.

“What?” she asked.

“Those are the same pair of clothes that I wore last time I slept over.”

She smiled back; “I was wondering if you’d notice.”

I feel better about her smiling. I know that I snapped at her in the car and I thought that maybe I messed up the whole evening, but like always she made it better.

After changing I headed back into Ava’s room and found her laying on the inflatable bed.

“Stealing my bed?” I joked.

“Nope, you’re sleeping in mine tonight.”

“Are you sure?” I asked, noting that the inflatable mattress looked less comfortable.

She shook her head; “Yes, no arguing about.”

I chuckled and climbed into her bed and wished desperately that she could climb in with me. She turned off the light and settled back into her bed. I hope the inflatable bed was comfortable enough. I felt weird about taking her bed. I really wish we could just share.

“I don’t understand the point of the door,” Ava interrupted my thoughts.

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“I don’t get why we have to keep the door open. My mom sleeps on the other side of the house anyways, so she won’t be able to hear us with the door open or not.”

I laughed; “She’s just being careful.”

“I know,” she agreed; “She’s truly afraid that you’re going to take advantage of me.”

We both burst out laughing at the thought. There’s no way I would have ever initiated anything other than a kiss from Ava and her mom was convinced that I would make a move on her. If anything, it was me she should worry about. Her daughter was always making moves on me. Of course the moves were subtle, but they were moves nonetheless.

We grew quiet for a while and I thought that maybe she was ready to sleep, but soon enough she was talking again.

“So, how are you feeling now?” I could hear her turning to face me.

I knew that she was going to ask again sooner or later; “I’m feeling better, but I wasn’t earlier.”

“I know,” she said.

I hesitated before continuing; “My parents have always had a hard time with Lily.”

She didn’t reply, and on I went; “None of us have had an easy time with her.”

“Why do you think that is?” she asked cautiously.

“Mostly because of her being adopted.” It was the first time that I had talked about it with anyone.

“In the beginning she was somewhat interested in being mine and Natalies sister, but now I think she doesn’t like being different from us. I think it hurts her.”

“That’s very understandable though,” Ava pointed out.

I knew she was right. Lily didn’t have my mothers laugh, my fathers smile, or really any feature that resembled any of us and I’m sure it hurt to not be connected to us in that way.

“I just-” I hesitated for a moment, trying to make sure I said the right thing; “I just want her to know that we love her no matter what difference she has. Yes, she gets on my nerves, but our family wouldn’t be right without her.”

When the words left my lips I felt relieved, but sad at the same time. What I really wanted was for those words to be said to Lily. Not Ava, not Natalie, nor my parents, just her. I was beginning to think that I wasn’t being a good sister, by keeping it from her and soon enough I was crying about it.

Ava could hear the soft whimpering and immediately got up from her place on the floor and joined me in her bed. Like always her arms wrapped around me and there I sat crying in her bed again, just like the first time.

“It’s going to be okay,” she assured me and there we laid for most of the night. At about six in the morning Ava slipped back into her bed, knowing that her mom would be waking up soon. We talked for another twenty minutes before we finally fell asleep; our hands intertwined while we slept.

neverstopsmiling14 asked: i hope you keep writing :) really missed this story

I almost have the next chapter done =)

“Are you okay?” I asked Emma.

She had been driving in silence ever since we left her house. The awful situation with her sister had definitely put her in a weird mood and I had finally figured it would be an okay moment to talk about it.

“I’m fine,” she answered, keeping her eyes on the road.

I didn’t believe her; “You sure? I mean that was a lot that happened at your house. Do you want to talk about?”

“I’ll be okay,” she confirmed.

“You know you can talk to me about anything, so if you want to talk to me about anything you-

“I’M FINE!” She cut me off.

I froze in my seat immediately and tried to process what had just happened. It was the first time that she really raised her voice at me in anger. I didn’t know if I should apologize or just keep quiet all together, so instead I just turned up the radio.

Emma looked at me quick, but I kept myself from exchanging the glance.

“I’m sorry,” she said.

I pretended not to hear her, despite how awful it seemed, but I still wasn’t sure how to react. So I stared out the window and tried to focus on the music playing.

Emma didn’t try to apologize again, thankfully. I was sure she knew that I was ignoring her and that she understood why. Soon enough silence fell upon us and thats how it seemed to stay while we ate at the restauraunt and later when we saw the movie. It wasn’t until we were in front of my house saying goodbye that she really spoke to me; “I’m sorry that we didn’t get to do everything you wanted.”

“It’s fine,” I lied.

“It’s not fine,” she started, “none of what happened today is fine.”

I looked at her and water filled her eyes.

I quickly tried to comfort her; “It’s okay.”

“No it’s not, because Lily freaked out on everyone, then I freaked out on you, when really I just want to talk to you about all of it, and I’m so sorry.” She looked like she could lose it at any moment and all my hurt from earlier went away.

“Come on,” I said, now getting out of the car.

“Where are we going?” she asked, clearing any sign of tears from her face.

“Inside, because you’re spending the night.”

She didn’t argue with me and followed me into the house. My mom was sitting on the couch watching tv when we walked in.

“Hi girls,” she said happily; the way she always does when Emma’s with me.

“Hey,” I started; “Would it be okay if Emma stayed the night?”

She looked from me to Emma then back to me and suddenly became cautious. “Okay, but I’d like to have a talk with you about that.”

I gave her a confused look; “Okay?”

She looked uncomfortable; “Okay, well if I’ve gotten it right the two of you are a couple, correct?”

We both nod.

“Okay well because that is the case, I want you to understand that I fully support your relationship, but I want to make it clear that there are house rules regarding sleepovers between you two.”

The second the words left her lips I knew exactly where this conversation was headed and I suddenly felt horrified. My mom is going to talk about sex in front of Emma.

“Now I’m okay with you sleeping in the same room, but I’m not oblivious to the fact that all couples, no matter what their orientation, have sex, which is why I’m not comfortable with the two of you sleeping in the same bed,”

She looks at both of us for a hint of understanding and continues; “Ava, there’s a inflatable bed that you can set up for Emma on your bedroom floor and your door needs to be open all night. Understood?”

Emma speaks first; “Yes Mrs. Richlou.”

I only nod, not fully happy with these rules.

“Okay, well I’m off to bed. Don’t stay up too late.”

“We won’t,” I say even though I’m sure that Emma and I won’t sleep.

Posting Chapter Tonight

I love my Ava and Emma followers <3333333

“What did your mom say?”

Ava asked me, as I applied eyeliner to my left eye. I always did better on my right for some reason, but today I did surprisingly well at getting both eyes to look even.

“She just said that Lily is going through a rough time and that was the end of the conversation.”

Ava was sitting on my bed while continuing to interrogate me; “Thats it? She didn’t tell you what happened at school?”

I finished applying the liner to my eyes and turned toward her; “Thats all she said okay?”

The words were cold, but I was sick of everyone asking me what happened. The most I knew was that my sister Lily was suspended from school for five days, but I had no idea what had caused her suspension.

However, that didn’t stop the entire school from coming up to me and asking what had happened as well as creating ideas at to what they thought had happened. Some said that Lily got into a fight with another student, others formed a story that involved drugs, but the most popular story of them all was that Lily was caught with alcohol in her backpack. I wasn’t one hundred percent sure which story was the correct one or if any of them were true at all, but my parents weren’t ready to discuss it with me and I wasn’t up for talking about it with anyone, including Ava.

“I’m sorry,” she said, now getting up from the bed and walking over to me; “I’m sure you’re sick of everyone asking.”

In response I wrapped my arms around her and like every other hug, Ava was quick to close her arms around me and squeeze tight.  Her hugs were the perfect medicine for me when my day wasn’t going well.

“Do you still want to go out?” she asked, still holding onto me.

I pulled back; “Of course!”

“Alright,” she smiled; “I just wanted to make sure.”

“You can’t get rid of me that easily,” I joked, my arms still wrapped around her neck.

“I’d never want to get rid of you,” she said, planting a quick kiss on my lips.

“You sure?” I joked back.

She nodded; “Mhm,” and we were  back to kissing again, but her lips weren’t so eager to let go of mine this time. I felt overwhelmed by how fierce Ava’s lips were, because it had been a while since she had kissed me like this. Sure we spent a lot of time together, but it wasn’t easy sneaking long kisses in when my family was around. Ava was always good at stealing kisses from me, but those kisses were nothing like this.

The way her lips forced themselves against mine only made me want to fight back, therefore resulting in the two of us seeking dominance. Ava was winning the battle and as soon as her hands pulled on my hips I surrendered; melding right into her at her request. The kiss progressed and I didn’t feel close enough to her even though there had been no other space left between us to fill. I quickly cupped her face with both of my hands in a desperate need to touch her, and all of a sudden my skin was on fire.

Avas hands were underneath my shirt, leaving trails of heat as they outlined my sides and suddenly my heart was beating at a rapid rate. This was the first time she’d ever touched me like this and my body was not opposed to the sensation. Avas hands continued to trail up and down my sides when she broke the kiss and asked; “Is this okay?”

I smiled, and just as I was about to answer her, we heard the sound of glass shattering  from the other side of my door. Ava and I exchanged a look of confusion, then hurried out of my room to find my mother, father, and sister Lily standing in the hallway. They were outside of her bedroom and it took me a second to find the source of the noise, but I shortly noticed the broken shards of glass that once encased our family portrait.

Lily was in tears and my parents were trying to comfort her, but the closer they got to her the more she backed away. Ava and I stood in front of my door, not sure what to do, but be confused. I looked over at Lily for a second. My eyes caught hers and she quickly reacted; “WHAT?!” I jumped back at her reaction, then grabbed hold of Ava’s arm, led her downstairs, and out of the house.

New chapter will be posted tonight before midnight.

Remember that I live in Michigan, so midnight may be at a different time for everyone depending on where you live =)
